I use Vintage Wood on a lot of different woods, from oak to pine. I find keeping one can marked as “watered down” and one can full strength, I can choose a lite stain verses a darker one.
It allows me to deepen the color in stages if I need.

I took an built orange oak linen cabinet and it transformed beautifully. I love this product. Are use the better with age and Amy’s cerusing wax. The hard part was stripping it. Everyone who’s seen this has left it.

Bought an old card catalog and used this on the body of it. The piece was made out of different woods. This married the woods to a beautiful gray finished. It did take multiple applications. Very happy with it

I love this stuff. Getting a distressed grey finish has always been a complicated process, and usually looks somewhat contrived. With Better With Age and the CertainTeed it's a simple 2 step process. And both steps are easy. You put it on and walk away. I would like to point out, that is going to look brown at first. And it won't change in some cases, until after you put on the wax. So don't freak out... like i did... when it turns brown instead of grey. Remember, it's a 2 step process. I wish this review section would let me post more than one photo. I could've posted a before and after photo. I posted the before, so you could see how brown it was after drying for 12 hours. It was very brown. As soon as i added the wax and started to work it in, the color began to change to a beautiful distressed grey. The pieces in the photo are scraps i used as test pieces. The lighter one is pine , the other birch plywood. I also noticed that the higher the grit that the wood has been sanded with, the lighter it ends up being. I wouldn't sand beyond 150 if you want it to have more color.

Love the farmhouse look this gave my kitchen table and the seat of my chairs. I sanded them to bare wood then brushed on the Better With Age. I think my table was pine so the color was a medium brown. The difference happens when you apply the cerusing wax. It turned a beautiful worn gray.

Used on an oak threshold... oak really works well with this! Not as gray as I was hoping for but more of a blend of light and dark browns with a dust of gray. Can't wait to try it on more!!

This was a very easy process. It gave the wood an aged look, and that’s what I was going for.

I purchased this antique side table with the intent of redoing the finish somehow. I am thrilled with the results I achieved using Better With Age.

When I used Vintage Wood the first time, I was hooked! Turned 3 drab orange pine tables after sanding down, into 3 fab barn wood tables!! It is a must for my painting.

Better with Age - On raw wood floor = Fabulous!!!!
I recently purchased an 1840’s farmhouse and one of the bedroom floors had been sanded down to raw wood and left unfinished by the previous owners. I decided to take a chance (as I was not certain of what exactly the type of wood it was) and try Better with Age on it and Cerusing Wax. And boy I’m glad I did!!! I love love love it :) Below are the before, during and after. The after photo shows (on right side) after waxed and buffed. On left side of the after photo is prior to buffing wax.
