Not your average powder paint

That centuries old patina isn't an accident. It's a recipe.

The furniture you fall in love with at estate sales wasn't finished in a single coat. It was layered, worn, and built up over time, by hand. Toscana Milk Paint lets you recreate that exact process at home, no formal training required. Layer it over Cracked Gesso for texture. Age it with wax or Antiquing Glaze. It's the same technique restorers have used for generations, just simplified enough to do on your kitchen table this weekend.

Mix only what you need

Unmixed powder stores indefinitely in an airtight, dry container. Once mixed with water, use within 1 to 2 weeks, refrigerated in an airtight container.

Best on raw wood

Apply directly to unfinished wood. For glass, metal, or previously finished pieces, mix in Milk Paint Binder or base coat with One Step Paint first.

Must be sealed

Milk paint is porous by nature. Lock in your finish with Light Wax, Dark Wax, or Matte Sealer for lasting durability.

Layered by you. Loved by you.

Kitchen cabinets painted with layered Topiary, Calais Green, and Scandinavian Grey Milk Paint over Cracked Gesso ★★★★★

"I love Amy Howard's Milk Paint. It's so forgiving and easy to clean up, no fumes, no protecting the surrounding area, and I can mix as I go. I'm doing my kitchen with a Cracked Gesso base, layered Topiary, Calais Green, and Scandinavian Grey, then antiquing glaze, Mind Your Own Beeswax, and a Matte Sealer finish."

Thrift store frames finished with European crackle and layered Milk Paint techniques ★★★★★

"Fun with frames! I picked up several cheap ones at the thrift store to practice. The blue is layered Milk Paint, and the beige is plaster mixed with pigment, then waxes and Dust of Ages. A lot of fun for a Saturday afternoon."

— Corrine Moore

Toscana Milk Paint FAQ

Toscana Milk Paint is a powdered paint that mixes with water to create a creamy, easy to use finish. It's designed to give furniture and décor pieces an authentic, Old World patina with rich texture, layered depth, and soft color variation. Once applied, it dries to a velvety matte finish that must be sealed with wax for durability.
