I thought English Walnut Gel Stain was my favorite color, but then entered Auburn Mahogany into my life, you're the one for me! A hint of red undertones to warm things up. This is my favorite wood stain color. The gel is easy to apply and wipe off and if you don't like it, it is easy to lightly sand off. Since it is a gel and not a penetrating stain, it does not soak into the wood which makes for easy changes. Did I mention that it doesn't have the harsh chemical smell of other stains. An added bonus! Thank you for another great product in a variety of options.

While I was pet sitting for a few days for my friend, I noticed that her outside stacking tables and chairs had gone gray with the elements. I went and grabbed my dark wax to put moisture back into wood and then went over with auburn mahogany stain. All the pieces look like new. My friend loved coming home to “new” outdoor furniture.

I’ve used Amy Howard’s gel stain in English Walnut several times now! It has a rich color that works very well for a medium-dark color. So easy to use, and it holds up excellently. I highly recommend this product.

Auburn Mahogany is a beautiful color. It is easy to use brushing on and wiping back I applied 2 coats to an old pine desk top. I had stripped off the old paint and lightly sanded but some of the old stain remained. The Gel stain covered perfectly and has a very nice citrus smell.

Went over laminate well, needed several coats, took a long time to dry on laminate, had to seal with matte sealer and then sand and use beeswax .
