Just finished my buffet that had been painted white with oil based paint. I cleaned the surface with clean slate then applied two coats of Java one step paint. Java is a warm taupe color. Only used 16 oz for this huge buffet! It’s self leveling quality creates a smooth finish. It’s absolutely stunning!

Staining a CMC appliqué absorbed way too much water based Walnut gel stain making the grain lift and inconsistent so I went back over with Java OS and then hit it w Walnut gel! Added Black OS. So if you want a wood look peeking through paint instead just leaving the real stained wood show through then Java is a great choice and I like it even better than the real wood and can control what I want to see.

I used the Java one step paint for the base layer on my console table. After drying, I applied a top coat of a mixture of 1 part water, 1 part glazed over and 1 part Derby one step paint. I love the color. I chose not to put any finish on the table because I love how it looks already.
I have used this color on my outdoor furniture and now on my island. It is a great neutral khaki that matches anything!
I purchased this paint to do my unsightly countertops and after two coats it looks flawless. I did use the glaze over the top as well.
The Java One Step paint is a rich neutral khaki/taupe. It was PERFECT for my porch furniture. It will match anything as the seasons change and decor changes.
