I was disappointed that not all colors were represented on this chart. I was interested in seeing the color of Grete yet it was not displayed. I felt it misleading to suggest that all colors would be represented when they weren't especially as this chart had to be purchased. Also I believe all merchants should have access to a display chart. This was not my experience when I recently visited a retailer of these products.

I am waiting for a sample paint as I will be painting a large entertainment center and need to calculate the actual amount of paint and tools I need. Been watching all the u tube on this product and really feel I’m in the lane for use of your product.

Samples are extremely small. Certainly not useful and not what you expect when you have to pay to get a color chart. Most paint companies give free color charts that have larger, more useful representation of the paint.

I rescued this monolithic coffee table from the neighbor’s trash and used Amy Howard at Home One Step paint to cover and restore years of abuse. It even had burns on it! I just cleaned it with One Step ( really dirty) and applied two coats of the matte black. It’ll be a great piece for the basement family room.

I wasn’t satisfied with the colors depicted in the catalogue called Amy Howard at Home. They always seemed a tad off! I called AH & was told a new brochure was becoming available with the true colors of One Step Paint only.
After receiving this color chart I checked the various colors in the new brochure against One Step Paint colors I had already used on furniture I had in stock. They were almost identical. I understand colors shown in any brochure are not going to be absolutely exact as the paint itself as there are too many variables, but they are quite close. Unless they have an ‘eagle eye’ & have deeply studied color.
The colors in this new brochure of One Step Paint will show a client a truer color of paint to be use on their piece of furniture, than the regular Amy Howard catalogue.
This new brochure is a hellova lot better for color depiction rather than the color shown on the Amy Howard website. (Obviously, every monitor will depict a color differently. This new One Step Paint brochure takes the hoping & the guessing out of a color(s) chosen by a client for using on their pieces rather than seeing the color in Amy Howard catalogue.
I am extremely pleased with this new brochure of AH’s colors. It is a welcome addition to the Amy Howard’s catalogues of information. It solves a great many problems or potential problems.

Love seeing all the colors before my eyes as opposed to online as it is misleading sometimes. My only suggestion would be to have bigger blocks of color to look at as the finger dot can be a little small to get the full picture like you can get on a paint color card. Love the AHAH color line.

I do love having the true color samples. However, some of the paint samples are cracked and it makes the color difficult to see given how small the samples are. Honestly a little bigger ring would be well worth the effort as I could see the colors better and would most likely entice me to buy more and be more confident of my decision. Some of the colors were so small they didn’t even fill out the entire circle. But it is wonderful to have the true colors!

I think the color chart is a nice thing to have when choosing the color of paint for your project, however I got my color charts (2) with wet paint so they were stuck together. Was a little disappointed with that !!!

While the sample card is certainly better for making color selection when compared to viewing colors online, I was a little disappointed in the quality of some of the color samples. Instead of a complete dab of color on some samples, there was merely a swipe or smear which has the effect of diluting the color.

I ordered the color palette because it was difficult to identify the colors accurately on screen. The palette I receive had actual paint samples instead of computer generated color samples. This made all the difference. I can see the actual color of paint I will be ordering. I looked at many sites selling milk paint and did not see this option. This was definitely the deciding point for me to choose your brand of paint.

I stamped a set of napkins with the A Maker’s Studio wreath stamp and acrylic paint that I had on hand. I made my own mix of dark green and gold. The wreaths were beautiful: however,I added a wide band around the edge of the napkin. I didn’t like it,it was too wide,and there were a few bloopers. So,rather than throwing them away,I used One-step to paint over the band. Then I mounted the beautiful wreaths on cradled panels with a matte medium. I’ll frame them in a carved gold frame. I only used three and decided to launder one as an experiment. That fully painted napkin is softer now and ready to use,not as a napkin,but as another project for a stencil to mount. It turned out to be a great project,even if it seemed like it wasn’t going to work. Even if you use gesso,then one-step,it works.

I tried to buy product at Ace Hardware but they had discontinued. They told me to order the One Step Color Guide to see if I wanted to order online. When it came I was very impressed with the ACTUAL paint used on the chart. The only problem is I am looking for a pure snow white to match an existing item. Most of the white choices have a yellow, a gray or a beige cast to them. But the Guide is very easy to use.

I recently ordered and received post haste the Amy Howard color card (which shows the one-step chalk paint colors, not the milk paint colors) as well as her fine book, "Rescue, Restore, Redecorate."
The color card is great because rather than simply photographs of paint colors, the small samples are actual dabs of the paints she offers, and all are gorgeous, so it will be tough to make a decision.
The book is wonderfully comprehensive, intelligently organized and written in a clear, helpful style. It describes the step-by-step process to follow in finishing a variety of projects. Once I started reading it (and looking at the beautiful photographs), I couldn't put it down until I'd read nearly the entire volume. It includes techniques for using both the one chalk-based paint and the milk paint, which I found extremely helpful. It covers other techniques as well, but I'm a beginner so was particularly interested in those.

I am so glad that I purchased the Amy Howard at Home Color Guide! It was so helpful in choosing the perfect colors for our home! The organization of the Color Guide allows you to see all of the same color family together so you can see the differences between them, which is wonderful! My laptop showed the paint colors one way, the same colors looked totally different on my phone. The color guide showed me the paint colors in true form and helped me make the best choice for my project. Side note:: the paint colors were pretty close to accurate on my cell phone, and WAY off on my laptop).
