Sheen and durability in a simple squeezable bottle. Vintage Wood Mercantile Cerusing Wax is formulated to protect your finishes and give them the rich depth we love in a well-worn antique. This soft, buttery wax squeezes onto metal or wood surfaces and hardens to a white satin patina. It pairs perfectly with your stained, painted, and raw wood pieces to protect and seal with a whitewashed sheen.

“The easiest white wax you will ever use!”

The beauty of antiques is that they have a story to tell. There is history between every layer of paint and within each spot of exposed wood. Cerusing Wax helps you create and protect these elements of age on your restoration projects. Our exclusive, squeezable wax is easy to work with while remaining extremely strong. Enjoy the durable, vintage protection that Cerusing Wax lends your piece while adding a whitewashed weathered look.

I refurbished this decorative shell with Bauhaus Buff Primer coat followed by Cracked Gesso. I then applied Wisteria Milk Paint and the final coat was your amazing Cerusing wax that was wiped back a bit to show the beautiful wisteria color. I adore your products!

Store owner replied: Looks fantastic, Laura! Thanks so much for sharing!

I used the cerusing paste to bring a better color to a straw basket that was pretty orange in color… I put it on with a cloth and used a toothbrush to get it in between all the crevices. What I couldn’t really eliminate was a little bit of the caking that the paste was doing in the corners so I got a hairdryer and turned it more to a liquid and that was much better and was able to then buff it with a cloth.

I love Amy Howard chalk paint. I had never used ceurusing wax before. I saw a video by Amy and just knew that the cruising white wax would achieve the look I wanted. It was easy and fun!!

Cerusing Wax

Easy to use and I love the results!

Cerusing Wax

I found it was difficult to use, it didn’t glide on easily and would build up too much in some areas. With some elbow grease I was able to deal with it but it dried too fast and I had to go back and rework those areas. My biggest complaint was that half of the wax stayed in the bottle and I had to get a cop stick to get it out. Too much of a hassle and would not buy again. Maybe the bottle I hit was old?

Love this product and great product to have in your collection! Used it to take these vintage rattan chairs to the next level. First did a white wash with ballet white and glaze over. Wax really improved the look even more and created a smooth finish.

Cerusing Wax

I was wondering if I should use a top coat after or before waxing

Cerusing Wax

So far, so good!

Cerusing Wax

One of my favourite waxes. Works great

Cerusing Wax

Hello Again🥰...I am TOTALLY IN JOY over the look and versatility of what is possible with Amy's GORGEOUS Cerusing Wax because you can brighten up any project or piece with as many coats of it with a simple paint brush,,even going back days or weeks later and applying more to make them lighter to suit your taste .. I've even stippled lamps and mirrors that were dingy or off colored , to give them a Fabulous Stone Appearance 😁.. But my concern ,,,now that I've purchased 7 or 8 bottles,,is that I have to cut the bottles in half with a very sharp blade to get the remaining HALF of the product out🤪I really wish it was in a jar or tube so I could just squeeze or swipe it all out..Your plastic bottle is Way to Stiff to manipulate such a Lovely Rich and thick Wax out...I truly hope you take a moment to actually use the current container so you may understand what your customers are uncomfortably dealing with so our wrists arent in pain trying to work on getting our paid for product out...There is another brand of cerusing wax on the market,,in a jar, but I really like yours and sincerely wish and hope for a new more flexible bottle, tube,or jar. Thank you and many Blessings to you and your Sweet Crew 💕

My first project! I painted my bathroom cabinets with one step paint. I mixed a few color samples together to come up with the color that I used. And then I finished with the curusing wax. I'm very happy with the results.

This product is the bomb! I use it often.

I love cerusing wax. It’s easy to use. I have restored an old dining room wooden table. It’s been a laborious process including stripping table top of this large furniture piece. The wax has accentuated this beautiful wood.

I redid a very old family cedar chest for my mother. After stripping, sanding, and bleaching, I used Amy Howard’s cerusing wax. This was my first time using this product, and all I can say is wow! So easy to work with, and it buffed beautifully to a satiny finish. Will definitely use for future projects!

I used this wax to give it a whitewashed look it's great😊 Tanya

Cerusing Wax

This wax is so easy to use...makes everything look better. My cabinets were a orangish/brown and I painted with a grey blue and put the Cerusing Wax on top. Love the look and am so happy. I did this in the heat of the summer and the wax dried very quickly so be careful. You can still work with it if it dries too fast but must use a lot of elbow grease.....

This was an old door with several coats of paint. I couldn't get all the traces out of the nooks and crannies, so I decided to try Clean Slate and then Cerusing Wax. I was extremely pleased with the result but felt the door needed a little something. Decals to the rescue. I had put sunflower decals on the closet doors, so - hey! Go big or go home! This is now the Sunflower Room!

Just started using this product but I mixed a custom wax color with one of Amy Howard’s One Step Paints and the result was spectacular. I have to try it on its own.

This beautiful piece had a dark stain and in need of some TLC. I sanded to find these beautiful wood color variations underneath and went with it. I applied CERUSING WAX, then buffed with steel wool and the transformation was so beautiful it became a keep price instead of a sell piece!

Looks good and easy to apply. My new kitchen is going to be these colors. Uppers light and bottoms dark red. The lighter color is from Country Chic called Happy Hour
