I was experimenting with a piece of furniture and added a wood detail on the side that I decopauged a napkin to… then went through a few layers of paint, but ended it with the gold leafing. It’s easy to handle and I think it is the perfect accent. It’s like the jewelry. It really elevated something that was very inexpensive and gave it interest.

Two statues in a church were vandalized and a member tried to “restore” them. The church hired me to do it properly. They also wanted gold leaf added and are thrilled with the results; giving me four more projects.

No issues with the gold leaf. Its a tedious process but to be expected. It is similar to other brands. I have already used quite a few sheets.

Gold Leaf adds just that touch of elegance to any piece! So easy to use.
I recently refreshed my masterbath and had these mirrors I didn't want to throw out but they didn't match the decor. I used Windsor One Step Paint to base the frame, then a layer of cracked gesso, layer of Venetian Green & Topiary mixed Milk Paint, then a layer of Venetian Brown Milk Paint. Did the antiquing glaze over the Milk Paint. Used gilding size and gold leaf on the IOD moulds. Finished with light and dark waxes and dust of ages. Love, love, LOVE Amy Howard at Home paints, finishes, tools, tutorials and online workshops!

Just as expected
I had a black iron table I really wanted to be gold so this was my first project with gold leaf paper. I got better with it as I went but totally love the end result!! You’d never know this table was purchased with black iron! The gold leaf is the perfect shade of gold too, exactly what I wanted.

I received the products promptly . I have watched the video several times ( which is very good). I would, however, like to have a list of products used for the video and instructions for my gilding project.
