About One Step Paint

One Step Paint is our premium, water-based chalk-style paint that transforms furniture, fabric, and everything in between. No stripping, no sanding, no priming. It dries to a soft, chalky matte finish that's perfect for vintage, distressed, layered, and Old World looks. While decorative pieces don't require sealing, we recommend adding a wax or sealer on high-use items like dining tables, chairs, and cabinets to protect against everyday wear.

Seriously. This simple.

A beautiful transformation in 4 steps.

Excellent paint, easy to apply. Great color choices. Only one issue the surface finish is matte, little rough.

This is a velvety deep gray that is my new favorite dark neutral! Looks great with so many of the softer neutrals I use regularly. It's also a great base for glazes!

Very easy to apply and dried nice and smooth. Very hard to judge the color of the grey paints. This one appeared a little on the blue side, but once brought inside, it was much darker. Still very happy with it.
